Ok everyone, I have a question.

I am looking to upgrade my rig. Currently, the only component I plan to keep is my Sapphire Radeon 7850 HD (2GB).

I plan to buy a board that supports 2x PCI Express 3.0 cards (at 8x), and match it with a i5-3570k and 8GB of 1600 ram.

My question: Do you believe it is better to buy an additional Sapphire Radeon 7850 HD (2GB) and run in XFire, or sell my used 7850 and buy a 300-400 single card?

I want to get the best graphics performance, of course.

Crossfire is dependent on drivers, more so than single card setups. If you know you aren't sensitive to micro stuttering, and are willing to give crossfire / SLI headaches an honest effort, it may be worth it, but usually you want to go for the best, single GPU card in your price range.

I recommend getting a single card.
