How did it die? Are you sure it was the original "A" drive (or even
the motherboard) and not the added "B" drive failing?

Simply plugging in an additional drive does not make it usable.
The partition map on the primary drive has to be updated to
point to the additional space on the second drive.

Until you go through the 'add a drive' procedure on your new
TiVo, it will not recognized the transplanted "B" drive.

The new primary drive in the new system has no way of knowing the second
drive is there. You'll have to do everything over again.
