I'm having trouble with my zip drive or something related to it. It goes really slow and sometimes even freezes my computer when I save a file to it from Word for example. I have a FIC AD-11 Motherboard, running win 2000, and the jumpers are set correctly. It's set as slave to my 7200 rpm seagate barracuda hard drive. Any guesses as to what might be wrong? I have all the updates for win 2000 and the zip drive....

for how long you had this problem? I mean, when did it start?

Do you also have the latest chipset drivers. Maybe if you place the Zip-drive on it own IDE port as master (if that is possible) will fix the problem.

Thanks for your help. I figured out that it's a problem with the chipset on the fic ad11. There's a clocking issue so I got a fix on the iomega site.

There's always a problem with VIA chipsets.

What's the frequency, Kenneth?
