I have 3 fan Asus Ati 4850x2 Graphic card which served me for a long time and it’s still a wonderful piece of engineering. However these days it's lacking with latest technology. What should I get to improve performance but don't spend too much. Plan is to sell my current card and buy new one.
I have Asus P5Q Deluxe in intel quad mother board and 950W PS (a4850x2 compatible) 23" screen with 2080 x 1536 resolution

Thanks

Moderator Edit: Changed the 4750x2 to 4850x2 at the request of the OP

It's actually Ati 4870x2 not 4750 sorry.

I don't have a range. Something better which is good value for money. Not sure if 200$ would be enough to upgrade from that card

If you have a decent CPU and PSU the this card here: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814102999&nm_mc=AFC-C8Junction&cm_sp=&AID=10446076&PID=3938566&SID=
should do it justice.

A4870x2 run on 350 Watts comparing to 7850 only 130 so I don't think psu would be a problem, but yes I have decent one. CPU Q8400.
Is there point to upgrade looking at 150$ ?

I wouldn't get anything less than amd 7870 at the resolution you play. However it seems you have the most, a quad core Intel . Meaning you will have bottleneck on frames from your cpu. Instead of spending 300+ for new gpu i would recommend buying an ivy bridge cpu and motherboard and new ram.

The overall performance will be better and after few months you can buy possibly a new gpu. This is the best way to upgrade partially.

If you are determined to keep that cpu, a amd 7850 is fine .
