I just built a new system using a Asus A7V333 MB and a Lite-on DVD-ROM drive. I am running Windows XP. For some reason every time I put a CD with a copied app (ie Quicken, Autocad, etc) it will not run it or install. An original app CD installs fine just not the copied ones. Does anyone know it this can be corrected?

what exactly do you mean? have you been trying to make backups? if so, maybe it was not a good copy. software makers nowadays make their cd's in a way so that it's hard to backup because of fear of piracy. try putting the cd in another drive and see if it works. might also be because the drive does not support multi-read.
