I have a Desktop Dell Inspiron 620, with Window 7 Home edition, when I try to open a drawing with Revit program, the program is shutting down, other small drawings open fine.
I upgrade to 8 GB memory but still the problem, I like to know if I need to upgrade the video card, now the computer has an Intel HD graphics family, memory 1696 MB.
I have an other Desktop Dell Inspiron 520 with Window XP and the drawing open fine.
The problem is for the video card?...
Thanks.

Yes Intel integrated graphics are just good for 2D desktop apps / video plyaing etc... Autodesk Revit is a very demanding fully 3D applications. You need a real video card for it.

What video card do you have in the Inspiron 520? I suspect you must have a real video card in this one if the performance is better.

256MB ATI Radeon X1300 pro and
256MB ATI Radeon X1300 pro secondary.
I believe some issues come from the 32 bit and 64 bit, the windows XP run in 32 and the Inspiron 620 in 64 (Windows 7 Home edition) I am right?..

I look all this specifications and recommendations before but I don't believe all are right, I have the Dell Inspiron 620 with Windows 7 Home edition, 8 GB memory and the video card I explained before, processor Intel i5 and still no good, I will try changing the video card for the AMD Radeon HD 7570 2 GB and we will see.

Which edition of Revit you are running 2013, 2012, 2010 or even older, I think that Autodesk is expecting users with Win7 to run newer editions, which are more power hungry than older one, so XP with X1300 Pro was stronger for an old version than 620 now, if you are trying old version now, well, according to one of my links, Autodesk is expecting Win7 to run with newer cards. The question I have - why I don't see HD 6000 and 7000 in recommendations, it is like Autodesk forgot to update those lists for the past 3 years?!
