Is it logical to say that future games will run better on AMD GPUs?

( Newbie question )

Since the PS4 is confirmed to have an AMD APU. And the next Xbox is most likely going with AMD as well. Does that mean future PC games will run better and get better support on AMD radeon cards? Given that game developers will be mostly working on them.

Not necessarily, most games these days are designed for the XBox 360, which has an AMD/ATI GPU, and then ported to PC, and AMD generally does not have a huge edge over Nvidia. Developer support for one brand of GPU over the other generally comes down to whichever side is willing to throw the most money at the developer.
