How to enable audio output via HDMI from HD 6850?

I recently installed an asus HD 6850 in my computer, and tried to run an HDMI cable to my Panasonic Plasma TV, but I am unable to get sound from the computer to the TV via the same HDMI cable.

Is this possible? Is there something I need to setup? I have a video signal on the TV from the video card but I do not hear any audio.

two things
1 right click on the sound icon and select playback devices, then click on the tv or desired audio output and click set as default.
2. (if the above did not fix) click start, right click on computer, select manage, click device manager, click the plus symbol next to sound video and game controllers ensure that the amd high def is enabled. if it is not there go to http://support.amd.com/us/Pages/AMDSupportHub.aspx and get the latest drivers.
