MSI 660ti discontinued?

I recently purchased a 660ti from MSI and it has been marked as discontinued on newegg ever since I got it. Is that something I should be concerned about? Why would a 600 series card be discontinued already?

It's just certain models that re no longer produced. This shouldn't change anything, and if you ever need to call in the warranty, you may get a newer, possibly better card.

There could be a number of reasons it's already discontinued.

They may just be ending production with that design for one reason or another. I see the heat pipes stick up above the card itself. This may be something they change. The other thing is, they may have found a way to produce this card for less money and gave it a new model number. This is a good possibility.

I wouldn't worry about it too much unless you see a recall.
