I wanted to find out the version of DisplayPort that Asus's GTX series graphics card support but the version is not listed in their specifications. All i know is that GTX 670 has v1.2 and GTX 570 has 1.1 from internet sources but I would like to know if the GTX 660 line has DisplayPort 1.2
1.1 only allows a maximum of 8.64 Gbit/s data rate over a 2 meter cable. However there is another version "DisplayPort version 1.2" which was introduced in december 22nd 2009 doubles the effective bandwidth to 17.28 Gbit/s, which allows increased resolutions, higher refresh rates, and greater color depth according to Wikipedia. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DisplayPort
