HDMI to VGA Cable

I have 2xhp w2371b moniters that have only vga hookups on them. My graphics card will be a xfx Amd Radeon HD 7770 GHz Edition card with HDMI hookups. The question i have is: Will it work with my moniters if i use a HDMI to VGA cable ad will the quality be distorted?

Without getting a device to convert the HDMI digital signals to an analog signal required by VGA, they won't work at all.
