Hello all,

I just purchased a new laptop for work and gaming on the go! Its the Gigabyte U2442N, here are its specs:

Intel Core I5-3210M 2.5/3.1GHz,
8GB RAM,
128GB SDD,
nVidia GT 640M 2GB
14" 1600x900 Screen

Just wondering how powerful the graphics card is in comparison to desktop ones? And will it be able to play the new Arma 3 on the native resolution?

Many thanks,
ShadowHuntur.

Solution
Mobile GPUs are about 25-30% less powerful than their desktop counterparts, give or take, as long as the mobile GPU has GDDR5 VRAM. If it has GDDR3/DDR3 VRAM then you're looking at 50% or less power when compared to its desktop counterpart.

To directly answer the question, yes on low/medium settings with AA and AF turned off.

Then what card does it match in relationship to desktops? This will help me know what kind of performance to expect. :)
