I have a CISCO Linksys wireless-G broadband router and have password protected the wireless access. I would like to allow some laptop users to be able to access the internet, but not allow them file sharing capabilities. I have noticed that when a laptop is given the wireless password to connect to the internet they also automatically show up in the Network Neighborhood. Is there a way to configure my Linksys router to only allow certain computers to be part of the file sharing network, yet allow all with the wireless password to have access to the internet?

you could see if your router can use DD-WRT firmware which would allow you to set up a wireless guest network.

I have a Linksys WRT54G2 1.5 build, so the DD-WRT firmware will not work on that one. I'm going to look into getting a different router.
