Need a new Video card and need some help!

Im looking to get a new video card for my HP pavillion HPE model h8-1234. Currently using a AMD Radeon HD 7450 which has been a ok video card up untill a recent driver update. Before I had the option to scale down the graphics mapping? Essentially able to play with lower performance higher fps, but the new update killed that function. I was at 40-50 fps on WoW now im at 10-15 fps. I have a 300w PSU but Im not so savvy or knowledgeable at computer upgrades so I've decided to post here and maybe the computer gods will smile good fortune on me

How much money are you willing to spend because you will 100% have to change your PSU depending on which graphics card you will get.

a 7750 would be nice....it doesnt require a external power source

Ty for the replys, I have a few hundred $$$ i could spend. The parts are affordable and within price range, however is the installation something I can do myself or do I need a professional? Ive never had to install a video card before, do I just plug it in on the motherboard and good 2 go? Sorry for being such a noob >.<
