Season Pass won't catch two in a row on same channel?

I have a SP for the Simpson's, First Run Only. Tonight, Fox aired two
new episodes, one after the other, but my series 2 recorded only the
first of the two,
Any idea why it didn't record both of them?

Just get your cable co's 2 tuner dvr. The 2 tuners all but eliminates
this issue.
