AMD 6950

My dad built his computer 2 years ago and got a 6950 never uses his computer. I need a new card I have a GTX 650 2GB. It just doesnt perform how I want. Im selling its two months old.
Im getting his 6950 for 100$ all he used it for was internet surfing. Should I take that or buy a brand new 7950. Will I see a performance difference between the 6950 and 7950?

take the 6950, for $100 you can't go wrong. yes there is a difference between the 7950 and 6950, but if you are coming from a 650, you will be happy with the 6950.

7950 is almost twice the performance as a 6950, but for $100, who can complain? Damn a 6950 for $100 is pretty good, and is much much much much much much much better than a 650.

I agree thanks im going to going to give him the money and get the card he never uses it. I guess later on when the next generation cards come out I might pick one up.
