Upgrade my ram

I have currently 1 GB RAM Installed on my system.

its specs are - rendition RM 12864AA667.8FE
DDR2 1GB pc-5300 DIMM
667 MHz

using windows 7 ultimate system gets really slow on 1 GB. should i upgrade my ram.

here is what i found-

DIMM Memory Module

Will this be compatible with my older RAM? please help
