Let's look at their best computer and compare prices, shall we? I'll take my prices from Newegg, as I usually do.

Case: CollerMaster ATC 210 - $243
PSU: Enermax 431w (w/ manual fan control) - $105
CPU: P4 1.8A - $188
RAM: Corsair PC800, 512MB - $190
DVD: Pioneer slotload - $57
CD-RW: Plextor 40x - $155
HDD: 2x 40GB Western Digital - $158
Video: Hercules Ti200 - $184
Monitor: NEC 950+ 19" - $319
Sound: Audigy X-Gamer - $84
Speakers: Klipsch 5.1 - $400
OS: Windows XP Pro - $140
KB/Mouse: Logitech cordless Freedom Optical - $79

Shipping: - ~$80 (estimate)

Grand Total for Newegg.com system: $2382.00

Grand Total for Voodoo system: $4659.32 (including shipping)

Now, who wants to spend twice as much for the same thing?

*crickets chirping*

That's what I thought.

who wants to spend that much for the same thing? I DO. Voodoo makes all their own parts in their own factories, instead of getten 2nd rate parts from other places. WOW I DONT CARE IF YOU BLOCK ME FAT ASS BURGER. YOU HAVE NO LIFE EXECPT TO PUT PEOPLE DOWN FOR NOTHING. BLOCK ME THEN WASTE MORE OF YOUR LIFE.

Reply to MoneyMike

You honestly think Voodoo makes the CoolerMaster case? And the Intel P4? And the Corsair RAM?

Not that. They make all of their own cases and buy direct from factory unlike everyone else buying it form a 2nd hand man.

Uhm... wrong-o Mike.

They assemble the parts they have purchased in the cases they buy from the case manufacturers.

Whether people purchase the components direct from the manufacturer or through a reseller is totally irrelevant. An Abit motherboard is an Abit motherboard no matter where you get it. an Athlon CPU is an Athlon CPU no matter where you get it from.

I'm going to guess that you are in high school, Mike and NOT assume you are representing the company as any company rep would NEVER spam like you have as generally speaking that is the quickest way to alienate the tech savvy.

Reply to zengeos

The cases are made by CoolerMaster, I'll bet money on that. And every OEM buys from the factory, as do most stores.

Unlike you I rather buy parts and add them to the computer. That means is I buy the fastest and the cheapest I can get at the time. Then buy a crappy computer that might be made with sdram. And I dont buy crap from home shopping center.

Here what I did I pritty much had them make a system and see what the total was compared with my system. All I can say you got screwed

I think Most would agree with me. Most of us Like to build are computers. Amd or Intel. If some thing we feel that running slow. We just Upgrade. If we feel the computer way too slow we just rebuild it.

just checked out that voodoo site. They basically package up average stuff in what looks like a fancy case, along with a fancy web site and a lot of wordy descriptions and make you think you're getting "the best". Marketing wizards at work, no doubt. But some people will fall for that sort of thing like PT Barnum once said.

It's always the one thing you never suspected.

That's not entirely true when buying graphic cards...Sure you may get the basic features, but you get extras from different companies...But I agree, no computer company is wholesale.

What's this?...ERROR ERROR ERROR...*CRASH & BURN*
