Need Help choosing a card

I have a 3 year old Alienware Aurora PC and need to upgrade the Video card. I game ALOT, D3, LOL, Starcraft 2 and the like so i want something to be able to handle that. ANy suggestions? I have a $400 limit. I had a GTX 295 which just died so i need something that will work.

if i could start the computer i would tell you. I know it has a 875 W power source 8gb ram

The best card you can get for $400 would be a Radeon 7970. It could be a bottleneck though depending on what type of CPU you have.

The 660ti might even bottlneck your machine because you have a first generation i7 which was great when it was released, but now it's not all that good. I have a gaming machine with a cpu that's a little better than yours performance wise, and it bottlenecks on some games with a Radeon 7850. I only average around 25 frames per second on Black ops 2 which is barely playable, So I just use my other machine with the higher specs to play it.
