Msi geforce gtx660 ti monitor wont leave sby mode

I just purchased the above card and my monitor wont leave standby mode, my psu is 500w max full model is fsp500-70ep. Part number 9pa5008000 I was told by the retailer that my psu would be enough so idk what else the problem could be, please give me some guidance on what i should do, thank you.

  1. well, first off, your psu is terrible. it's got 3 12v rails if my googling is correct?

    its either your psu, or the gpu is bad.
  2. Yes it has 3 12v rails, the desktop just came up, its working, it just stays in stby while its booting up idk why

  4. set your bios to initialize pci-e first
  5. I enabled pcie on bios and the monitor still doesnt turn on till it gets to the desktop
  6. I did some asking around and some people said my MB is faulty or incompatible, i have an intel B75
