Question about physx

From what I've been reading on the internet, it IS possible to use physx on an AMD card without hacking or modding anything, but it just won't run as smooth as it would on a nvidia card. Is this true? All I want to know is if physx will work on an AMD GPU. Thanks.

You can only rely the physx on the cpu with an amd gpu, you have to buy a nvidia gpu if you want to take advantage of it.

But my main question is if I have 2 7970's in crossfire and a i5 3570k will I still get all of the physx effects?

Depends on the game. Some support it on the CPU with an AMD card. Others have the option disabled.

Yes, it depends on the game, but you'll not take full advantage without a nvidia gpu, so just bare with it.
