Will dsl work on off opx 5 miles away

i have an off premise extention phone like 5 miles from my house will my dsl work there also ive recently gotten dsl at tthat location anyway but would like to get it on the opx if possible phone co told me it would then they say no i never tried it before the done away with the opx the tech said ne cause it was a different switching station help ![:)]( ":)")
