Password for workgroup with xp

Hello,
I need to find the password for the workgroup on my network so that another computer can join . i have window xp and can/t find the password anywhere ???

Hello and welcome to Tom's Hardware Forums.

It's not unusual for Windows to ask for a password even where one doesn't exist so try leaving it blank and clicking on OK or whatever - it may work.

Failing that, restart and tap Function 8 then choose Safe Mode with Networking and log in as Administrator. Try the networking process again, including running the Network Setup Wizard, and see if the same occurs.
