M mis3 Distinguished Nov 6, 2001 91 0 18,630 Apr 16, 2002 #6 Yes, there is currently a shortage of 40X CD-R. Surely in a few weeks, we will see lots of them on the shelf. For now use the 16X or 24X CD-R and the drive should function just as well.
