I'm thinking about getting a g4 ti4600. I am running a athlon 1.2gig @266 with 512 of pc2100 ddr. I currently have a g2 ultra 64mb card in there now. Should i get it? Will there be much of a bottleneck with my system? is it worth it to get it now or should i wait until the 8x cards are released? Any suggestions would be great. Thanks

You should see a noticeable improvement by going from a GF2 Ultra to a GF4 Ti 4600, at least on some of the newer games (NASCAR 2002, Dungeon Siege, JKII). I don't think AGP 8x will make much difference, so I wouldn't bother waiting for that to come around. I don't think you'll notice too much of a bottleneck on your system unless you run everything at 640x480 resolution (where the CPU is the limiting factor). If you run at high resolutions then a GF4 will definitely make a big difference.

Quick Q: when are the 8x cards coming out? Anyone know?
