Windows 7 how to take a picture

Hello,
how do i take a picture from my webcam?

  1. Load the cam software, and tell it to snap a picture.
  2. The cam software doesn't seem to have that option, at least, not when you double click on the camera icon in Devices and Printers.

    I remember doing the equivalent under XP with my old laptop and that worked. My current laptop running Windows 7 doesn't do that... :fou:
  3. You need webcam software. windows doesn't come with it equipped. Thanks Bill.


    I typed "best webcam software win 7" in the google search.

    Not bad software :)

    I've since upgraded to Ubuntu LINUX -- and webcam software (as well as TONS of other software) is FREE there :lol:
