So my husband and I are gonna quick smoking this New Years Eve and we both know it's not gonna be easy, especially when you have kids, a home business and a mortgage! ha. Anyways there was this cheesy commercial for Blue electronic cigarettes, but they are insanely expensive, but then the Vapor Ultra electronic cigarettes are a lot cheaper, so we are gonna go with them. I also like their slogan "Same Taste, No Waste!" haha. So let's see!
So does anyone smoke electronic cigarettes here? Or as I see they call it "Vape". I think it would be pretty cool to be able to smoke inside while doing my work on the computer, but I can't imagine them hitting hard or as good as a cigarette. None of my friends use them, and all the "reviews" I see online seem fake, like they are affiliate websites or just made up reviews. Anyways, let me know if you like electronic cigarettes and what flavors are good. I smoke Marlboro Lights and my husband smokes Camel Royals.
Anyways, thanks guys!

You can really never replace the original cigars. It's nicotine that gets you hooked. Smoking electronic cigars will only remind you of your previous vice make you long for real ones. The trick is to replace the habbit with something else. Not only will you save serious $$ from buying fake cigars, you start living healthy. But hey, if you'd really want to give them a try, chocolate tastes real good.
If you've seen the movie "Constantine", you will know what i mean. Chewing a gum instead of smoking is a start.
Cheers!

You are dead on, my friend actually told me "Every time you feel like having a cigarette, just go outside for a few minutes and take a few breaths". Because, that's all I really want sometimes, just a break, especially at work ha. I've also heard you have to try to replace it with something, so gum is a good idea!
I smoke more when I'm driving, after I'm eating or when drinking. So, those are the things I have to tackle the most. We ended up getting them for New Years and we both actually like them, plus the vapor ultra ones are cheap, so whatever! They are not bad at all, I got the menthol and it literally taste just like menthol! My husband got the "cowboy" flavor which I think is vapor ultra doing the marlboro or something. They produce a bunch of smoke like cigarettes, it's a trip, you should youtube someone smoking one. The flavor is great, it's easy to use (two pieces, you screw one onto the other), looks just like a cigarette, feels like a cigarette and gives you a bit of a throat hit like a cigarette but not that much.
I think it's super cool to smoke inside now, haha. No tar, no smelling like smoke and no carbon monoxide. So far it's been 2 weeks with these electronic cigarettes and we haven't had a cigarette (or I don't think my husband has at least). I'm just trying to use it less and less and work my way down, plus it helps more than gum because I have something physical in my hand and I physically take a hit of it, unlike the patch, I guess. But all in all 9 out of 10, I can see why these are becoming popular, no doubt.

I personally don't smoke, but my Dad has smoked since he was like 15 so I grew up being exposed to cigarette smoke constantly and I'm almost certain it contributed to my respiratory allergies. To keep symptoms under control I have to use a medical grade air purifier (this one actually: http://www.sylvane.com/iqair-healthpro-plus.html), even if there's no smoke in the house. Granted, I realize this is relatively light on the scale of the dangers of smoking, but even if you don't end up with cancer there are still harmful side effects (even for the people around you).
Do whatever you can to stop. If "vaping" works for you, great. If not, don't give up. Try something else, etc.
One last thought, everyone I've ever known that actually quit and stuck with it... they just made up their mind and quit. It starts with determination.
