Unidentified network

i took a new LAN connection but after connecting it\'s showing unidentified network , but the same LAN is working for my room mates please help me

Go to the Control Panel and click on "Network and Sharing Center". Under the label "View your active networks" you should see "Network [# here]" and "Unidentified Network". Click on that and select one of the three options presented.
