Why does my dlink router show two access points

When ever i make a secure network it leaves the unsecure one open.

One is private, the other is for guests.

Is there a way to disable this option or limit what can be done through it.I just dont want anyone doing anything illegal under my account.

Log into the router's admin console. You can disable the guest wireless network from there.

Ok when I log into the router it doesn't say guest account anywhere. Is it under a technical term. Sorry I really am a newb at this stuff.
