HD size question

Hi - Can anyone tell me how or where to find out if my Asus ATX motherboard A7v/A7v-E4 can take an additional 60/80 gig hard drive? It currenty has a 30 gig hard drive and I would like to add another one. Been searching all over to find out if this is ok or too much etc with no luck. Please give me some advice?

  1. If that's the only HD you have on there now it sure can assuming you dont have 7 other IDE devices on there. A7V's have raid controllers so you have 4 IDE slots/ports/interfaces?

  2. Yes it has 4 IDE slots.
Thanks for the information - much appreciated :)
  3. There is no reason you should be able to. Just as long as there are a few IDE hookups left.
