2wire at&t router/modem

Hello,
i have a at&t 2wire router/modem that is running all my eithernet wires but my signal is too weak.so raido shack told me to buy a stronger router.which i did. i bougt a netgear 600 but not sure if i should disconnect all my wires and plug them into my new router or just plug the new router into the at&t modem/router
need help please

    first of all take back the netgear 600 to radio shack. the 2wire gateway most likely already has a more powerful radio transmitter than the netgear one. You should put the 2wire gateway in a central location in the house at least 3 ft away from any other electronic devices. if you still have a weak signal try changing the wireless channel. the default may be 6 or auto so change it to 2 or 10 instead.
