am i correct in thinking that ram from crucial and ram from micron is basicaly the same stick of ram? if not, close enough to pair the two together?

i went to the tomshardware forums and all i got was this lousy signature.

Micron makes the chips, crucial puts them on their pcb board. If I understand this correctly.

Places that sell sticks of "Micron" RAM are usually sticks made by a third party that feature Micron chips.

Beware of non-genuine Crucial RAM. Even though they use Micron chips, the maker of the PCB can be terrible. Think about it - if the channel from the chips to the slot is terrible, it doesn't matter how good the chips themselves are.
