Help with wireless setup!

Hello,

My current network consists of Modem > Wired Router > Switch. On this switch I have my PC & Xbox connected. Is it possible to connect a wireless access point to my switch, while keeping the rest of my network intact? Switching out my wired router for a wireless router is not an option.

So will this all work together?

I would get a router instate of an Access Point soyou have a backup if something happens to your router.
