Win XP illegal. Is it possible to upgrade it to Win 7?

I tried validating my Win XP, but it is not an original software. Will I still be able to upgrade the software to a genuine Windows 7? The person that installed the software did not provide me with any installation CDs.

Hi

No if you bought a 7 upgrade it would REFUSE to upgrade an ILLEGAL version of XP...

And that link above is to an OEM version which means to buy it LEGALLY you MUST buy hardware with it plus it will only ever work on ONE machine...the one you install it on...
