What is proper way to do this? Have lost partially viewed
programs and can't remember the proper sequence for keeping
viewed programs.
TIA for help.

Left on the Disc will bring you back to the NPL and leave the program
you were watching at the current stop point ( so will hitting
guide/list or live tv) (as long as you were a minute or more into the
show) You need to mark it as SUID if it is getting deleted, it has
nothing to do with how much of the show was watched.

WTF? I've never seen SUID on a Tivo
and I won't mention that most people who are only at miss Steed's level of
Tivo knowledge probably don't have a clue what 'the Disk' is.

From the Now Playing List choose the show you want to keep.
Then choose "Keep until"
Then choose "Keep until I delete" KUID
or you can choose a "Keep until" date that is up to 30 days away, but that's
not guaranteed at all.

I'm not sure which model TiVo you are using, but Keep Until... is an option
for programs in the To Do List. Save until... is listed as a choice on the
program details for a program in the Now Playing List. Save Until I Delete
is the setting that abbreviates to SUID.

My 540 S2 has the option to "Keep until" when scheduling a recording and
"Keep until" after the program has been recorded.

Why do you say that? because I give an opinion once in a while and try to
correct bad information when I see it? Isn't that exactly what everyone
else does too?

No because you pick a few readers you dont like and when you disagree
you name call for one and B you nym shift. You've ruined any credibility
you might have had when you started the latter.
