I am trying to use a 15ft usb extension cable with my
SIT 1X CDMA USB MODEM. I am trying to use this to usb
to increase signal strength so I can get the hub to
the other side of the room for networking purposes.
I heard this was the method to get Windows to recognize
the usb extension cable in the first place. Thing is, that the
"windows do not recognise the USB DEVICE".
Do you guys have any ideas? I'd really appreciate the help.
Thank you.

You should be able to connect it with a 3 meter long cable, so long as the total of all cables does not extend past 15 feet.

Remove your personal info from the post, public forums are scanned by scammers to gather data.

What do you mean by a "hub"? Are you trying to tie together several computers to a USB modem using a USB Hub? Exactly what type of layout are you using? To network computers, you use a modem, and a router connected to the modem, the computer connect to the router using WiFi for wireless or ethernet cables.

M S REDDY,

I can't find any info on that USB modem, is there a link to a product page? There are drivers for that device it seems, did you install them? What speed are you trying to increase? Signal strength of WiFi? Going across a single room with nothing in the way is not a lot of distance to need to boost anything unless you are talking about a warehouse size room.
