tono arm removal yamaha p220

i totally hashed out the headshell connector--turned it instead of
pulling it out
all contacts are bent--need to remove small screws under tone arm but
arm has to be removed in order to get accesss to the screws--did
obvious things like turn the tone arm after removing weight
adjust--fooled with it to no avail
anyone have any idea on how to do this?

if i remove the screws i should be able to pull out the insides and get
access to the bent wire terminals
