Years ago (6-8) I recall reading about a protocol that was named when a committee (I think CCITT/ITU) met at a hotel and the protocol (I think part of the X.25 protocol suite) was partly named using the room number at the hotel where the committee met.

Which protocol(s) are named in part or wholly using the room number of a hotel.

Well, that violates all security protocols and compromises all networks huh ?
Your comment is more a comical detail, the name of a protocol being arbitrary and unconsequential. Funny detail though, thanks.
