I just picked up a 1760NX based on the reviews here and I am incredibly disappointed.

I cannot get a good black level and the color management/temperature profiles available from Tom's don't seem to make any difference. (I am using the analog connector.) the screen is amazingly bright, to the point of being annoying and I can't get a real white out of it either.

Does anyone have any hints on how to get the levels correct besides turning down the brightness.

While I've only had it for a day, it may go back this week unless I can get some help.
