Hi,
I have the palmtop: Sony Clie PEG-TG50/U.
It halted and I had to press the reset button to issue a soft reset.
(I didn't press any key at the same time with the reset.) Usually the
reset button just restarts the machine, but this time it wiped out
everything (as if I had done a hard-reset, although I didn't).
Unfortunately I had a long time to back-up my data.
Is there anything I can do to (even partially) recover some of the
remaining data? I am pretty sure that even a hard reset does not clear
the memory bit per bit, rather it just cleans the first some bytes and
destroys the file system tables (or whatever data structures are
used). I would be happy if I could retrieve even the remaining bits
stored in the memory chip in raw format (even if I have to
remove/unsold the memory chip) I am particularly interested for one
..pdb file.
Any help, ideas, or knowledge would be extremely appreciated
Thank you very much!
nicolas
