Uncoupling RAID 0?

Is it possible to uncouple two HDDs configured in a RAID 0 array so that they can be reformatted and used independantly? If so, how would this be accomplished?

Take the drives off of a RAID controller and put them on a regular IDE controller.

I tried that before and it didn't work for some reason. Maybe I didn't do something right last time, I'll give it another try.

Well .. I don't know how it wouldn't work, seeing as you need the drives on a RAID controller in order to run RAID. That's unless you are using RAID capabilities of Windows 2000 and XP from Dynamic disks.
