Windows 7 laptop will connect to the wireless router but no internet access. The MAC in my house as well as the xbox both have internet via the wireless router. I just altered my internet by making it password protected and changed the name (SSID) Is this the problem?

Make sure both the SSID and passphrase info are correct with your laptop. Also, in your router, make sure you aren't filtering for authorized MAC addresses only. If so, add the MAC address from your laptop's wireless adapter.
