MP memory question

Just wondering here, with a dual Athlon MP set-up, will I need two sets of ram for each processor? or will it be like a SP set-up and all the ram gets put together? Basically, the answer will help me know if I will need more sticks of ram, or keep the count lower. The MB is an Asus A7M266-D

i dont think you have to have separate ram banks for two processors.

With current Athlons, they share the memory bandwidth.

One of the things that I like A LOT about the Hammer is that more than one processor will have it's own RAM. This should make for some tricky programming/engineering, but if it works well, it'll be very nice.

As long as the memory is registered- it doesn't matter if you use 1, 2, or 3 DIMMs.
