Free online help with my acer laptop problems

My sister has recently purchased an Acer Aspire V3 from Comet who have since closed. I have tried to help her set it up today and have tried to see what software is already installed. It seems likely that Office is one of the programmes but in order to explore Office it needs a product number which we can't seem to find on any of her documents. She is not online so I am working from my computer to try and help her. Any ideas?
