Hi, I have a question about loading Cds into Ipods. I just bought an
Ipod and would like to convert about 500 Cds to my Ipod, - is there any
easy way to hook up a CD changer, say a 100 CD changer to my Ipod?
Also, approximately how many CDs can one put on an IPOD?
THANKS!
KOS

It's easier and you will get a better job if you use the CDROM on your
computer.

That depends on which format you use to load them. The IPOD supports .wav,
aiff, mp3, and aac. There are subformats of several of these major formats
that trade sound quality for less space.

Then, you didn't tell us how big the hard drive on your iPod is. They come
in several different sizes. This matters, believe it or not! ;-)

Hi, I have a 20Gig Ipod.
As far as the storage capacity- I understand the difference in the
format, I would like to have a very high quality of sound- which would
be recommended? also, about how many tracks can you get? Thanks again
for your prompt replies.

OK.

..aiff or .wav are as good as it gets.

>also, about how many tracks can you get?

Figure 40 Megabytes per song track. That means 500 tracks or 30-40 CDs will
fit in aif or .wav format.

AIFF and WAV and Apple lossless are bit for bit identical once unpacked
to streams of 16 bit audio samples. Apple lossless takes up less than
half the space of AIFF or WAV so you'd get more than twice the amout ot
music on the iPod with Apple lossless.

It depends on your iPod's size and the bitrate you choose.

Newer CD drives and computers can rip audio at 12x speed or better.
