Long story short. I agve my reciever to my dad when the left channel in
stereo mode stopped. I put it in mono mode and the sound was there.
Reinherited the unit and connected to sound card on computer still in mono.
A screw in fuse on the old house blew and afterward the left channel
stopped.
Several sites suggested some cleaner in the controls. Several types of
cleaner mentioned with deoxit suggested several times. Would a lubricant be
needed after cleaning ? Any other suggestions as to likely fault(s) would be
appreciated. Back in the mid 70's a transistor was replaced for similar
problem.
thanks for any help
Hi , I have the exact model with the exact same problem. I have already cleaned all the controls and switches. I'm now looking for a schematic, i'll keep you posted on my findings. If someone else knows a short cut , Please chime-in !
No , Because BOTH amps function properly EXCEPT in FM Stereo mode. The Mono mode works great. I'm still looking for a Readable Schematic if anyone had one ??
