How do you turn off/disable zones on the RX-V2400?
Hi,
I've got an RX-V2400 amp and was playing around with the zones - I
wanted to run a small pair of speakers into the kitchen and the
multi-zones looked ideal for this purpose. What I only found out after
running the cable up in my ceiling and hooking it all up was that you
can't route a digital source to zone 2 or zone 3. Kind of limited, hey?
Having run the cable and mounted a pair of speakers (maybe I should
have RTFM first =) I then hooked up the kitchen speakers to the
Speakers B output. At least with this I can listen to a digital source
in both rooms and, as I've assigned Speakers B to Zone B, if I turn off
Speakers A, the amp is intelligent enough to turn off the sub as well.
Anyway, my question after all that is: How can I turn off the zone
functionality now that I'm not going to use it? If I turn on the amp
from the power button on the front faceplate, it turns on zone 2 and 3.
If I then turn it off from the remote, it only turns off zone 1, unless
I then explicitly turn off zone 2 and 3.
Also, when I power it on via the remote, it says MAIN Power On.
All I want to be able to do is put it back to how it was, before it
"knew" about zones - does anyone have any idea how?
The digitally signed message you sent me won't allow a response. Must I go
through a bunch of nonsense just to reply to an e-mail? I have the info you
need, but simply replying to your e-mail doesn't work
