Check the settings for your monitor: Right click on your desktop, select properties, select settings tab, set to maximum screen resolution.

If that doesn't give you what you want, check the setting of the monitor itself. There should be a menu button somewhere, to "stretch" the screen to your liking. This is usually "positioning." If the monitor has auto-adjust, it should be already there, size wise.

Cheers.

If you can't adjust the screen enough as described by foscooter then try setting the monitor refresh rate lower found by right click on the desktop, select properties, select settings tab, advanced, select monitor tab.

Also you may wanna check your scaling options under your video card settings.

for me i just right click on desktop go into catalyst control center(i have an amd card) >> my digital flat panels >> scaling options and then mess with the over and underscan settings i find this helps me fit the picture to the screen for my hdtv.
