Wired/Wireless Question

Ok, so here goes. My desktops are setup with a wireless card this is the main network in our home. I have my own personal server that I built for my personal computers. I have one for gaming and one for, well just because I had spare parts lol. My question is. Can I use a router to connect my two computers to my server even though I am connected with the wireless network of the rest of the house? Would there be a conflict between the wired and wireless connections both having activity.

No none at all. But a switch would be better and much easier!
Is it the main router tht everyone uses to get internet?
