Optical mouse pad..??

I'm looking for a pad that will help extend the battery life.
Can anyone help me?

hmmmm... interresting... that lets me look at my BLACK mouspad from a quite different angle. just didn't think about it: black --> absorb, white --> reflect. so easy ...

Didn't you do a comparison of different mouse pads about two years ago? What ever happened to that study?
